Cookbook lets anyone publish a recipe that everyone else can read, including people browsing without an account. These are the rules for what you post, and what we do when a post breaks them.
Recipes. Your own words, your own photos, and instructions somebody could actually follow in a kitchen.
Every recipe has a ⋮ menu with Report recipe. Pick the reason that fits. Reports reach our reviewers and are never shown to the person who posted the recipe.
The same menu has Block this cook. Blocking hides all of that person's recipes from your feed, your search results and your saved list, immediately. They are not told. You can undo it in Settings → Safety → Blocked cooks.
Blocking is yours alone and needs nobody's agreement. Reporting asks us to act for everybody. They are different tools and you can use either or both.
Reported recipes are reviewed against these guidelines. Depending on what we find we may leave the recipe up, remove it, or disable the account that posted it. Repeated or severe violations lead to removal without warning.
We aim to review reports promptly. Reporting something does not guarantee it will be removed, and we do not share the outcome of a review with the reporter — telling one user what happened to another user's account would itself be a privacy problem.
If your recipe was removed or your account disabled and you believe that was a mistake, email us at the address below and explain. Include the recipe title and roughly when you posted it.
